At my private practice, Family Psychiatric Services, I provide a holistic approach, utilizing intensive therapy, nutrition, and medication management, with the goal of helping patients become medication free (as appropriate).

I am a double-boarded addiction medicine physician specializing in treating addiction disorders. I completed my medical training at Bronx Lebanon Hospital, and Fellowships in Addiction Medicine at Yale University School of Medicine and Palliative Care at Mount Sinai-Beth Israel. I am an Assistant Professor Adjunct in Medicine, in the Program in Addiction Medicine at Yale University School of Medicine.

My goal in practice is to work together with each patient to develop a customized plan that will address their needs. I am a strong believer in psychotherapy and have experience in individual, group, couple and family therapy. However, when therapy has not provided adequate relief, medication management is always available. I will collaborate with patients to find the best treatment. I am also on faculty at Columbia University/ NYSPI and actively involved in research (specific areas include opioid dependence, pain and complicated grief). I am a child and adolescent mental health clinical nurse specialist and lifespan psychiatric nurse practitioner. I love working with children, adolescents and adults with ADHD, those folk on the autism spectrum and the cooccurring disorders often seen in those with learning and neuro-cognitive differences, including anxiety, trauma and depression. I also have experience helping young women with hormone imbalances related to endometriosis, PCOS and other autoimmune or endocrine disorders.
