Now accepting patients in Massachusetts! Shoreline Wellness Center is a behavioral mental health practice conveniently located in the center of West Haven, CT. We have a team of three Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioners led by Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Brandi Krassler, specializing in patients across the lifespan suffering from bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety, OCD, conduct disorders, PTSD, and more. Dr. Sam Hawley, who heads the team, is a Board Certified Psychiatrist and APRN consultant who has several specialty trainings including disaster relief, grief, autism, pediatrics, and more.

Please note that I am licensed in and can only see clients who reside in Connecticut. Clients in my practice seek a provider who is compassionate, comprehensive and understands their individual needs. I am also one of the few practitioners in the area that will consult on and prescribe gender affirming hormone therapy to adults.

I consider myself lucky to work in a progressive age of healthcare, and strongly believe that mental healthcare especially relies on a culture of acceptance and openness. As a Healthcare provider I not only care for patients, but share good practices in empathy and understanding. As a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, my goal is to advocate for patients who struggle to be heard or respected, and to manage their treatment with compassion, understanding, and attention to holistic care

I treat clients from adolescence to older adulthood with anxiety, depression, mood disorders, post-traumatic stress and obsessive-compulsive disorders, bipolar disorder, eating disorders, ADHD etc. and hope to collaborate with clients to establish an individualized treatment plan. Treatment goals are best reached through a holistic approach; I encourage clients to participate in therapy in addition to medication management and lifestyle modifications. I help to empower clients to understand that they are one of the most important members of the care team, and it is my hope that you are ready to take on an active role.

Margaret (Peg) Cornell, APRN (she, her) is a psychiatric nurse practitioner and pastoral care specialist at Shoreline Pastoral Counseling. She provides care for people dealing with life’s challenges and offers individual and couples therapy and limited medication services. Peg has a particular interest in helping with trauma, grief and loss, gender issues and suicide loss.

Deborah Collins-Perrica APRN is a board certified Psychiatric Clinical Nurse Specialist with over 20 years of experience in the treatment of mental illness providing the following: comprehensive diagnostic evaluations; medication ordering and management; psychotherapy; nutritional medicine; weight loss support; psychotherapy during pregnancy, and termination or abortion trauma; ordering and interpretation of blood and lab tests; referrals for consultation to other specialists as needed.

After more than 40 years working in healthcare, I have witnessed a gradual decline in the amount of time spent with patients. These and many other changes have had a negative effect of the patient- provider experience. My goal in private practice is to take the time that is needed to thoroughly address the patients issues and concerns. We are all patients and deserve to be heard. Therefore, all initial appointments are allotted 1 hour and follow up appointments are typically allotted 30 minutes.
