I am a South African trained doctor and an American trained psychiatrist. I have practiced child, adolescent and adult psychiatry in the town of Fairfield, CT for 28 years. Prior to establishing my full-time private practice I was on faculty at Yale University for 10 years where I practiced more of an academic/research type model of psychiatry. My diverse personal and professional background allows me to truly practice evidence based psychopharmacological care. However, I never only prescribe medications so many of my patients see me for psychotherapy as well as medication management.

George Ramos is a highly motivated board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with a great passion for holistic and patient-centered care. George has experience working in community health clinics, nursing homes, inpatient settings (Yale New Haven Hospital), and private practices. Depression, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar, insomnia, substance use, schizophrenia, and PTSD are some of his specialties.

I am a psychiatrist, with board certifications from ABPN in both, Psychiatry, and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Prior to pursuing my psychiatry career, I worked as a general physician in primary care, an experience that taught me skills I still use today. Practicing psychiatry since 2012, I have worked with patients with diverse diagnoses, particularly individuals suffering with Eating Disorders. If you are struggling, I would like to help you.

Her philosophy when it comes to medication management is often “less is more”, minimizing medication regimens for better outcomes and encouraging individuals to participate in psychotherapy as well as self-care in order to lead a healthy, fulfilling lives. While she is experienced in treating clients ages 10 and older, she enjoys working with young women, those with a history of trauma as well as women who are in their perinatal phase of life.

As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), I am committed to delivering compassionate and evidence-based care to individuals experiencing mental health challenges. Recognizing the importance of perinatal mental health, I have additional training and certification in perinatal mental health to better provide support to individuals and families navigating the complexities of pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period.

Dr. Michael Roman is currently a Staff Psychiatrist at Talkiatry. He completed his adult psychiatry residency training at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Roman is a board-certified Adult Psychiatrist and a diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN). Dr. Roman’s clinical practice centers primarily around medication management and psychopharmacological treatment approaches. He also specializes in a variety of psychotherapeutic modalities which he utilizes in conjunction with medication management in order to provide patients with the best possible treatment outcomes.

My passion for empowering and aiding individuals in their wellness journey began 20 years ago. While working with under-served communities in New Haven and Hartford Counties, I was fortunate enough to interact and develop meaningful relationships with individuals of various cultural backgrounds. I continue to apply this philosophical thinking and practice while serving my patients in order to provide an individualized, holistic treatment.
