Dr. Tara Thompson-Felix is a board-certified child, adolescent and adult psychiatrist. Dr. Thompson-Felix has specialized training in perinatal mental health and believes that improving outcomes during pregnancy and the postpartum period has a long-lasting impact on outcomes for a mother and child. She also specializes in treating a wide array of psychiatric conditions affecting children, adolescents and young adults. She earned her medical degree at Rutgers, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and trained in adult psychiatry at Temple University Medical School.

I'm a Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (APRN), licensed to prescribe psychiatric medication across the lifespan. At our practice, we collaborate with patients and their therapists to use medications conservatively, while always incorporating holistic methods to assist in recovery. I have 30 years of experience as a chiropractor, treating patients without the use of medication. Now, with the ability to prescribe medication, I carry with me the philosophy that judicious medication use is key in treatment plans. My strength is in adolescents, adults and geriatric patients.

I have 40 years experience in the mental health field as a psychiatric nurse, and 24 years as a prescriber. I work with clients using a collaborative, holistic, compassionate approach that makes best use of my skills as a nurse. I work with children age 10 to adults, including elderly. I have a wide range of experience that varies from ADHD, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, trauma, dementia... life transitions... basically almost everything. I'm a strong believer in psychoeducation about medications and creating a partnership in the treatment process that is inclusive and empowering.

Kate Hanselman is a Board-Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with over 10 years of professional experience working with adults and seniors who are dealing with a wide variety of issues, including family conflict, transgender issues, grief, sexual orientation issues, trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, anger issues, dysfunctional relationships, ADHD, behavioral issues, women’s issues, and more. Kate earned a Master’s degree in Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania and a Master’s in Science from King’s College London.

I am a doctorate prepared, board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner who is trained to treat patients of all ages with diverse needs. I am especially passionate about treating children, teens, and young adults. They so often need a provider who gives them a voice, treats them with kindness and respect, and is as enthusiastic and energetic as they are! I received my Doctorate in Nursing Practice, as well as my Bachelor of Science of Nursing and Bachelors in Psychology from Fairfield University. My doctorate project focused on educating care teams in clinical settings about trauma informed training practices.

I am a child and adolescent mental health clinical nurse specialist and lifespan psychiatric nurse practitioner. I love working with children, adolescents and adults with ADHD, those folk on the autism spectrum and the cooccurring disorders often seen in those with learning and neuro-cognitive differences, including anxiety, trauma and depression. I also have experience helping young women with hormone imbalances related to endometriosis, PCOS and other autoimmune or endocrine disorders. My specialty is in mindful neuropharmacology and medication management as well as integrating complementary and alternative treatment methods when possible.

My experience in psychiatry ranges from treating children and adolescents in partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs to adults in addiction treatment, as well as older adults as they transition through life changes. I treat a wide range of mental health conditions, including ADHD, depression, anxiety, Bipolar/mood disorders, OCD, sleep disorders, and more.
