My clinical style is engaging, interactive, and nonjudgmental. Medications are available when appropriate/helpful, but are just one of the tools available. I am also well-versed in talk therapy approaches when medications are not indicated/desirable. At Sacred Space Psychiatry, we support a holistic approach to assessment and treatment and view our clients as a whole person rather than just a set of symptoms. We believe that medications have a time and place and that they are all too often over prescribed. As a result, we strive to work collaboratively with our clients to make mutually agreed upon decisions around medications. We work with adults struggling with a range of mental health concerns including depression, anxiety, PTSD, OCD, mood disorders, and insomnia.

Dr. Henry Crabbe is a Yale-trained and Board Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He has been in private practice in the community for more than 30 years. He also has been involved in research in the development of new medications in his specialty.

Dr. Matthew Campbell received his medical degree from the University of Washington. He completed psychiatry residency and an addiction fellowship at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein. He provides telepsychiatry for adults throughout Connecticut. He is currently taking new patients interested in CRAFT (Community Reinforcement and Family Training.) This is an evidenced based therapy for people (CSO) affected by someone (IP) with an addiction. It has 3 goals of: improved mental health/quality of life of CSO, decreased substance use by IP and much higher treatment engagement to address substance use for IP.

A psychiatrist with over 15 years of experience, Dr. Weiss earned her Bachelors of Science, from Brown U., her MD at U. of Louisville followed by training at 3 Harvard Hospitals, then serving as Chief Resident. She has been providing care to adult outpatients in the Hartford area for over 10 years. Now in private practice, her clinical approach to treating adults emphasizes trust and nurturing a therapeutic partnership. She provides full psychiatric services to help people recover from stumbling blocks they may encounter. She values proper diagnosis and evidence-based treatment.

I am a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with eight years of healthcare experience. I am dedicated, compassionate, and patient focused. My approach to care combines medication management with supportive therapy, focusing on empowering individuals to overcome personal challenges through a comprehensive and integrative method. I believe in treating the whole person, not just the symptoms. I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based therapies, psychoeducation, and motivational interviewing, tailoring each treatment plan to the unique needs of my patients.

I'm a compassionate psychiatric nurse practitioner that likes to take the appropriate time to get to know the needs and objectives of my clients. I specialize in adults but will see children 13 and older depending on the case. Dr. Atkins is a staff psychiatrist at Talkiatry. He is board-certified in adult psychiatry and has been in practice for the past 2 years. Dr. Atkins has focused his practice primarily on medication management. He combines medication management with a therapeutic style that is a blend of supportive therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing. While Dr. Atkins is trained in a variety of therapeutic techniques, he works collaboratively with therapists and may recommend their inclusion as part of your treatment team depending on your individualized treatment plan.
