Dr. Brenda Y. Camacho holds the position of Staff Psychiatrist at Talkiatry. She is board-certified in Adult Psychiatry. She has been practicing for over 25 years. Dr. Brenda Y. Camacho’s practice focuses on medication management. Typically she offers this in conjunction with supportive or insight-oriented therapy in 30-minute follow-up visits. On occasion, Dr. Camacho will believe additional therapy is also needed and asks that you bring a therapist into your care team to provide the best outcome.

Dr. Matthew Campbell received his medical degree from the University of Washington. He completed psychiatry residency and an addiction fellowship at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein. He provides telepsychiatry for adults throughout Connecticut. He is currently taking new patients interested in CRAFT (Community Reinforcement and Family Training.) This is an evidenced based therapy for people (CSO) affected by someone (IP) with an addiction. It has 3 goals of: improved mental health/quality of life of CSO, decreased substance use by IP and much higher treatment engagement to address substance use for IP.

Our goal is to provide better mental health care for people with physical health problems and improved support for people with common mental disorders as well as those with severe mental illness. The underpinning of our care plans are based on the 6 human needs: Certainty, Variety, Significance, Connection, Growth and Contribution. We know that management of whatever you're experiencing likely falls outside of the realm of the "health care system" so we recognize the importance of having open, empathetic conversations about mental health as we continue to navigate the challenges life throws at us.

Cassandra is dual-licensed as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), and Psychiatric Mental Health Practitioner (PMHNP), board-certified and received her Doctorate of Science in Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing. She has experience in short-term rehabilitation, long-term care, inpatient, outpatient psychiatric treatment settings, teaching at a prestigious University, hospitalization care and partial hospitalization program services.

I take care of patients who are struggling to find support and stability in their lives. People often come to see me are sometimes in the most difficult time of their lives and I enjoy digging deep and listening to what is really going on for them. I treat patients who have anxiety, mood disorders, ADHD, personality disorders, substance abuse/ addiction disorders, and life stress. The correct medication can help to balance out a person's life so that they can start living and being their best. I pride myself in tailoring treatment for each individual.

Garrit has comprehensive knowledge of medicine, pharmacology, clinical skills, and standards of care resulting in the highest possible level of safety.

I am a compassionate and skilled PMHNP with dual-board certifications in Family Medicine and Psychiatry. I obtained my BSN from the University of Massachusetts Boston. I then received a MSN specializing in family medicine from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy. I earned a Post-Master’s Graduate Certificate in Psychiatric Mental Health from the University of Massachusetts Worcester Medical School. Throughout my career, I’ve worked in diverse healthcare settings, including primary care, surgical, psychiatric, and within the VA healthcare system, where I dedicated my services to veterans.

At Sacred Space Psychiatry, we support a holistic approach to assessment and treatment and view our clients as a whole person rather than just a set of symptoms. We believe that medications have a time and place and that they are all too often over prescribed. As a result, we strive to work collaboratively with our clients to make mutually agreed upon decisions around medications. I have had a private practice in medication management for 21 years in several locations; am currently licensed in Connecticut and New Jersey, but am able to do telehealth appointments wherever you are located. Patients have found this to be very helpful, as we can connect from your home or work. My experience is in multiple settings: inpatient, outpatient, and crisis intervention. I have also served as a consultant to patients with mental health concerns in a neurology practice and in an HIV clinic. I have held faculty positions at several universities, and currently serve as an associate professor at UPENN's School of Nursing.
