I have a passion to address mental health conditions in children 8+ as well as adults and have acquired expertise in treating ADHD, PTSD, autism, depression, postpartum depression, anxiety, insomnia, panic disorders, eating difficulties, school concerns, anger issues, substance use, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, and neurocognitive disorders with behavioral disturbances. I also have a passion for helping women who desire treatment during pregnancy, postpartum and during breastfeeding.
I have practiced as a nurse and NP for 37 years, mainly with a pediatric focus but now in psychiatry. I obtained my diploma in nursing, then went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, a Masters of Science in Nursing with a Family Nurse Practitioner focus, a Doctorate of Nursing Practice, and then a Psychiatric Certificate.
I firmly believe that I am a part of a team when meeting with clients and that the person seeking help is the expert. I will listen to you. We will work together to create a treatment plan that meets your needs, and we will follow up together to fine tune the plan to ensure that it continues to meet your needs.
