Dr. Chen is a Harvard trained, double Board Certified psychiatrist who believes in evidence-based and collaborative mental health care for her pediatric and young adult patients. She offers in-person appointments on Tuesdays and virtual appointments Monday through Thursday. Dr. Chen strives to understand each patient's individual goals of treatment and helps them develop the skills to achieve those goals. She works with patients to manage their symptoms with the lowest dose and the fewest medications possible. She also hopes to help her patients graduate from psychiatric treatment whenever possible.
Dr. Chen earned her Bachelors degree in Neuroscience at The Johns Hopkins University and completed medical school at The University of Toledo. She completed a four year General Psychiatry Residency at University Hospitals/Cleveland Medical Center and a two year Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at Cambridge Health Alliance/Harvard Medical School.
Please note: Dr. Chen provides services to patients who have or are considering medication as part of their treatment plan. She incorporates therapy into her medication appointments. However, she does not provide "therapy only" appointments and should not be considered a replacement for a therapist with whom patients would meet on a weekly/biweekly basis.
