Dr. Carnetha Simmons has been practicing as a board certified Adult, and Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, for over 14 years. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, received her medical degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, and completed her general psychiatry residency and child and adolescent Fellowship at Prisma Health in Columbia, South Carolina.
Dr. Simmons evaluates and manages patients via telehealth, and has expertise in treating children and adults with a wide variety of conditions including ADHD, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, and psychotic disorders, among others. She is accepting new patients and is licensed to provide care to patients residing in MD, DC, SC, CA, VA and NC.
Dr. Simmons is accepting new patients who have Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina insurance, Optum UHC, Medicare, or prefer to pay privately. Other insurance plans which will be accepted later this year include Aetna, Cigna/Evernorth, Humana, AmeriHealth Caritas North Carolina, and Wellcare.
