Accepting New Patients - Dr. Ara completed her fellowship training in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry (CLP) at UCLA. CLP is a subspecialty of psychiatry that focuses on treating mental health issues in patients with complex medical conditions. Before her fellowship training, she completed her psychiatry residency at the University of New Mexico and earned her M.D. degree from Tehran University.

John Anthony Diya is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health NP, certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. He graduated from Charles R. Drew University. He has over 9 years of experience in providing psychiatric care to patients of all ages. He began his career in healthcare as a Registered Nurse working in both the inpatient and outpatient settings.

I am a Harvard and UCSF trained child, adolescent perinatal and adult psychiatrist who sees patients across the diagnostic spectrum. I have expertise in conditions which are more common in youth such as ADHD, Autism, OCD. I also have specialized training in women's mental health and maternal mental health, including issues with infertility, pregnancy and postpartum. I am very interested in how cultural identity shapes mental and emotional wellbeing, with a lens on how intergenerational trauma affects individuals and families.

I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health and Family Nurse Practitioner. I received my Master's Degree at Cal State LA, Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences at UC-Irvine, and my Bachelor's Degree in Nursing at West Coast University. I see clients ages 6 and above for medication management. I am passionate about providing quality and compassionate care and recognize the importance of building a trusting relationship.

Dr. Toohey is board certified in adult psychiatry with extensive experience in emergency psychiatry and reproductive mental health with a boutique psychiatry practice in California. She completed residency at NYU/Bellevue Hospital in New York City and has over 20 years' experience. She served as faculty at UCSD and University of Hawaii. In addition to the treatment of mood and anxiety disorders, psychosis and ADHD, her areas of expertise include reproductive psychiatry and management of psychiatric symptoms occurring from complex medical illness. She is a consultant in hospitals and emergency rooms throughout California.

Dr. Ashok Parameswaran is a licensed and board-certified psychiatrist. Born outside of Philadelphia PA, he moved to San Diego for residency. In San Diego, he has worked in a variety of outpatient clinical care settings serving patients from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds.

Kristoffer A. Ancho is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). He is a master’s prepared nurse practitioner with 10 years of experience as a psychiatric nurse. He has extensive experience caring for geriatrics, adults, adolescents, and children suffering from mental illness at Sharp Mesa Vista Hospital. He also provided care for veterans at the VA San Diego’s Neuromodulation Clinic. He is experienced with repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS), Esketamine (Spravato), and IV Ketamine infusion.
