Hello, welcome to Simply Psych Nursing. My name is Lyleanna Nguyen and I am an ANCC Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I believe the therapeutic relationship between a client and provider is the base of any strong treatment plan.

We are ideal psychiatrists to treat patients who long for the time and space to be heard. Who want all their symptoms and concerns addressed, but never seem to find the psychiatrist who gives them the time of day. We take pride in our ability to adjust our pace to our patients' needs and to provide them a safe space to talk. Although as physicians we prescribe medications, we in no way, push medications on patients. We come up with a treatment plan together which may or may not include medications.

Julie Chu is a Board-Certified, licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) who obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from West Coast University and her Masters in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from California State University Long Beach. With an extensive background in psychiatric care, she specializes in primary mental health or dual diagnosis concerns.

At Body and Soul Health Center, we are passionate about health education, wellness, and preventive medicine. We facilitate healing by combining a patient -centered approach with evidence-based research.

Taylor Alexander is a Board-Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in California who has been practicing since 2023. She earned her Bachelor of Science, with an emphasis on Public Health Education, from California State University San Bernardino. She then pursued her nursing degree at Western University of Health Sciences in their Master’s Program, becoming a Registered Nurse. Taylor completed her Master’s in Nursing under the Ambulatory Track, further specializing in Psychiatry.

I utilize both individualized supportive psychotherapy and psychiatric medication management into my practice.

In my practice the most important person is you, my client. I will take the time to listen to you, to understand your unique situation, and to review available medical information. I will look beyond obvious symptoms and will try to uncover other medical and behavioral issues. Then, we will discuss a variety of recommendation that, in my experience, provide the greatest likelihood of improvement for your condition. It is your choice to decide which recommendation to move forward with. These may include medication options, therapy options, and other lifestyle changes.

I am blessed to have learned from extraordinary teachers, but it has been the patients and their families that have taught and inspired me most. Despite suffering through times when the simplest things become the most difficult, people learn to move forward, which can be humbling and extraordinary to observe and achieve with them. Despite advanced treatments, what determines success is whether our partnership will enhance your or your loved one's life. The most important thing is what best suits you. If I am not the one for you, I will try to help you find someone who is.
