I provide medication management for individuals 6 years and older. I have about 6 years of experience in mental health nursing caring for hundreds of patients with a diverse range of mental health diagnosis in internal and family practice. The symptoms and signs of disease tend to be entangled with our Unconscious Mind. We often times end up doing things, we are not aware of as a unresolved coping mechanism of trauma, like our family has done for ages. I am looking for clients who wish to address the deeper psychological conflicts that underlie their disease and who are ready to transform and let go of the past.

I have experience using evidence-based medicine and psychotherapy to help my patients live more fulfilling lives. I address important lifestyle factors (i.e. sleep, diet, exercise, supplements, substance use), and their effects on one's mental and physical health, to promote healthful living. State of Mind Wellness Center is a state of the art psychiatry practice that uses evidence based treatments for mental distress. Here, you are seen and heard by a board certified psychiatrist with over 25 years of experience. Dr Parmar is an expert in the field of mental health. She is caring, warm and she understands human development and how trauma can impact a person. She uses a humanistic based psychotherapeutic approach and is skilled in providing medications as needed. Dr Parmar also provides Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy to people with cPTSD who qualify. TMS is also offered as needed.

I'm a Columbia University-trained psychiatrist focusing on women's mental wellness. In addition to my expertise in general and addiction psychiatry, I'm one of a few doctors with specialized training in women's mental health and reproductive psychiatry.
