As a Board-Certified Psychiatrist, I see adults and adolescents ages 15 and older who desire evaluation and treatment of their mental health issue(s) regardless of complexity. I offer a complete psychiatric evaluation, including a psychosocial assessment and make recommendations for you based on evidence-based practice guidelines. I have previously worked in the community mental health setting serving the seriously and persistently mentally ill populations of the Bay Area and Southern California. Psychopharmacologic and psychotherapeutic strategies are tailored to relieve the distressing symptoms impacting your life and well-being.

My ideal patient is someone who is interested in approaching his or her issues from a multi-dimensional approach, which often involves combination of psychotherapy and medications, as warranted. I provide a comprehensive assessment of you as an individual, which includes potential diagnoses to guide treatment. I will tailor a treatment plan to target your specific concerns, which will integrate therapy, medications, and other strategies. If you already have a therapist, I can work with him or her together for your treatment needs.

I completed my undergraduate studies at the University of Southern California, where I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Biology. I received my medical doctorate from the U. C. Davis School of Medicine, and completed my residency training in both Psychiatry and Family and Community Medicine at U. C. Davis Medical Center in Sacramento. I am board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. I have extensive experience working in both out-patient and in-patient settings.

Michael Bolton, M.D., specializes in ADHD. Dr. Bolton received his MD from Yale, his Master's in Health Policy from Harvard, and graduated from the Harvard Medical School/Mass General Hospital (MGH)/McLean Hospital Psychiatry Residency Program. He is board certified in psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

Dr. Bauman is known for her open and warm approach. She is well-versed in the medical complexities of psychiatric illness, and addresses each patient as a unique individual. Dr. Margaret Bauman is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in both General Psychiatry and Child Psychiatry. She has extensive training in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of psychiatric disorders. Dr. Bauman has been named one of America’s Top Psychiatrists by the Consumers’ Research Council of America.

Sofia Encarnacion, M.D., treats adults of all ages. She has devoted her life to the identification, treatment, and alleviation of patient discomfort. She does this through a carefully crafted mixture of caring, listening, and application of the most advanced therapeutic techniques and medications. She is fluent in both English and Spanish. In her many years of patient treatment, first as a clinical psychologist then as a psychiatrist, Dr. Encarnacion has developed particular expertise in the treatment of ADHD, female sexual medicine, and life coaching.

Danielle Lopez, M.D. is an adult outpatient psychiatrist practicing since 2012. She graduated in 2007 from University of Southern California, Keck School of Medicine and completed her residency training in 2012 at Los Angeles County + USC Medical Center. Dr. Lopez has worked in an array of settings, including inpatient addiction, subacute setting for severely and persistently mentally ill, homeless outreach, psychiatric urgent care and adult outpatient psychiatry.

My care derives a holistic approach to care informed by evidence-based guidelines to care in a highly collaborative approach. It always begins with making a warm and comfortable therapeutic relationship. Preventative care and an emphasis on living habits that promote health & wellness. It is common that medications may be part of most treatment plans in my practice, associated with teaching and some form of psychotherapy to facilitate long-term gains and improve chances for successful outcomes.

My approach is based on integrative psychiatry, which uses medications, therapy and complementary medicine to treat the whole person, not just the symptoms. I address the combined impact of sleep, lifestyle, relationships, nutrition and chronic medical conditions on well-being, and use cutting edge tools like genetic testing to guide personalized treatment with medication and supplements. I consider the patient’s cultural background in my assessments and I can provide treatment in Spanish, Portuguese, French and Italian.
