As a Brain Injury Medicine Psychiatrist, I am passionate about helping high-achieving individuals who are facing the challenges of medical and neurological co-morbidities, particularly those who have experienced Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), whether recently or in the past. I am dedicated to providing compassionate care and guidance to patients recovering from TBI, who may be dealing with issues such as depression, anxiety, memory deficits and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), as they work towards reclaiming their sense of self and achieving their optimal well-being once again.

I treat a broad range of disorders and specialize in adult psychiatric conditions, including anxiety, depression, bipolar, ADHD, schizophrenia, and thought disorders. In my career, I’ve been fortunate to meet and work with people from all walks of life. I draw upon my diverse experiences and background in medicine, mental health, scientific research, and business administration to give my patients what they need—whether that be medication, therapy, or guidance.

I am a board certified psychiatric nurse practitioner. I provide medication management and brief supportive therapy for depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, ADHD, ASD and related behavioral problems, insomnia, PTSD, OCD, and schizophrenia. In addition, I am licensed to provide medication-assisted treatment for substance abuse and substance use disorders. Mental health complaints are common and if you are still suffering I can offer medication and behavioral options that might be the catalyst to get you feeling better. Dr. Iman Parhami is a triple-board certified psychiatrist (Child Psychiatry, Adult Psychiatry, and Addiction Medicine) who completed his child and adolescent psychiatry training at Johns Hopkins University. He strongly believes that diagnoses do not define individuals. Instead, diagnoses can help classify a set of symptoms and can help identify empirically supported treatments for that class of symptoms. He also believes that psychiatric treatments cannot just include psychopharmacology but must include a multi-disciplinary approach that is family-driven and culturally sensitive.

I specialize in medication management for young adults and adults who are experiencing addiction, mood, anxiety, psychotic and/or trauma related disorders. I have worked extensively with patients from diverse social, cultural, and economic backgrounds. I also have experience with gender affirming care and working with patients from the LGBTQ+ community. I received my BS and MD from UCLA and completed my psychiatry residency training at UCLA Semel Institute where I served as Chief Resident.

Derek VanCamp, DNP is a psychiatric specialist with 30 years of experience in emergency care, family practice, critical care, and psychiatric disorders. He has a Bachelor of Science degree from West Coast University Los Angeles, a Master’s degree from Vanderbilt University, a Doctoral degree from Vanderbilt University, and a Postdoctoral degree in psychiatry and mental health from Regis College of Boston. He is board-certified in acute care, gerontology, and psychiatry/mental health and specializes in treating children, adult, and geriatric patients.

I am a Los Angeles based board certified child and adolescent psychiatrist and adult psychiatrist. I treat a variety of age ranges and diagnoses, and although primarily a telehealth provider, I am open to arranging home visits as well. Transitions are hard across age ranges, whether that is middle school into high school, change of jobs, change in romance, etc. Of importance to me are the changes in childhood and their long-term impact on social and academic development. I believe that early intervention can have major impacts later in life which led to me pursuing my child and adolescent fellowship.
