Dr. Kumar is an adult and geriatric psychiatrist seeing patients at his Los Angeles office and virtually. Dr. Kumar believes in a humane and comprehensive approach to mental health care across the lifespan. He emphasizes the impact of past experiences on emotional well-being, practicing trauma-informed care that draws from his work with military veterans. He enjoys helping patients through major life transitions like graduation and career changes, aging and retirement, and relationship conflict. He is also experienced at helping older adults confront late-life challenges like chronic disease, memory loss, and grief.

I want you to know that you are not alone and it does get better over time. I’m a holistic board-certified psychiatrist, therapist, and artist who specializes in helping adults struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, ecological and spiritual distress find inner peace. I combine holistic approaches such as creativity and spirituality with traditional modalities such as psychotherapy and medications, when needed.

Dr. Merrill is a Harvard trained psychiatrist who completed her undergraduate studies in Neuroscience at UCLA and obtained her medical degree from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. She finished post-graduate training at the Harvard Longwood Psychiatry Residency Training Program and completed a fellowship in Women's Mental Health at Brigham and Women's Hospital and has a specific interest in working with women suffering from issues related to the menstrual cycle, pregnancy, postpartum, infertility and menopause. She is trained in advanced psychopharmacology, psychodynamic psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and managing patients with complex medical conditions.

Unfortunately it receives less attention, less empathy and compassion and more judgement than physical pain. I was raised to live in a community and build up the weak and hurting in the community because we are as strong as the strength of our weakest brethren. My goal as a psychiatric provider is to unconditionally support, build, strengthen and alleviate the judgement, and pain of mental struggles; this I achieve through empathy, listening, honest communication, building trust and strong partnership with my clients.

Brittany is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Practitioner. She was born and raised in a small town in Missouri before she came to California as a travel nurse. Brittany has an extensive critical care background as well as a background in psychiatry and addiction medicine, and she believes in staying up-to-date with all the newest technology and medications to find what truly works best for her patients. Having trained in large metropolitan areas as well as rural communities, it is her passion to provide affordable, quality mental health care to those in all areas.

I am board certified in psychiatry and addiction. In addition to my medical expertise, I feel my personal lived experiences allow me to work with my clients as a team to create a positive impact on their lives and futures.

I have been actively treating mental health conditions across the lifespan, seeing patients ages 8-70. I have 3 years of experience as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and have over 17 years of experience working as a Registered Nurse (RN) in a variety of both inpatient and outpatient settings. I am fully licensed in both California and Nevada, treating patients in both States. I manage an array of mental health conditions, such as depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders, bipolar disorder, insomnia, OCD, PTSD, ODD, and ADHD, to name a few.

I've worked with clients of all backgrounds who have struggled with addiction, process disorders and various mental heath issues. My goal after the initial assessment, is to work with the client to develop a course of action to get better. With a combination of therapy, a treatment plan and medication (if applicable) we will get you, the client back into the normal stream of life.
