I greatly enjoy the development of mutual trust in a partnership between a psychiatrist and patient. Without this, progress rarely occurs. I have extensive training in multiple psychotherapeutic techniques and have taught hundreds of psychiatric residents, psychiatric nurse practitioners, and medical students as the past chair of three academic psychiatry departments.
My treatment approaches are based on an individual's goals in an environment built on mutual trust. My experience allows me to work with people from diverse backgrounds and identities. I graduated from Harvard Medical School and completed my psychiatric residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital.
