She received her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Nursing from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. After gaining extensive experience as a nurse across several disciplines, she then went on to obtain her Post-Master's Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner certification from the University of South Alabama in 2018.

Brittany lives in San Diego with her husband, Ragamuffin cat, and Chow/Golden senior rescue.
