Most psychiatric patient comes into the office with a mental health problem and requires a professional to listen to their issues and assist them in meeting their needs. I first listen attentively to the patient for the reason of their concerns. Then, I perform an Initial Psychiatric Evaluation in according to the information the patient provided. After, this assessment I make an individual treatment plan and goals according to the patient's needs and with the patient's input. I believe in collaborating with my patients.
I, Dr. Ruth Anne Felton, received my doctorate at Brandman University, in Irvine, California, in May 2015. I am board certified by the American Nurses Credential Center. I bring more than 25 years of nursing care to acute and chronic psychiatric units for adolescents and adults.
I am a compassionate and active listener when patients are ventilating their thoughts and feelings. Being able to have the empathetic ear of my patient's problems. I normally check myself and my feelings toward the patient's problems. I take into account the diversity, culture, and ethnicity of that individual. I enjoy providing positive feedback to patients
