I am a Board Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and have over 7 years of nursing experience ranging from medical to inpatient/outpatient psychiatric, and Partial Hospitalization/Intensive outpatient care. After graduating with my Associate’s Degree in Nursing in 2016, I went straight to working on an inpatient mental health unit in Virginia for 2 years. While returning to school to complete my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Nursing, I worked full time as a Hemodialysis charge nurse for 4.5 years. Since graduating in 2022 with my MSN, I have been working in outpatient psychiatry and PHP/IOP.
My focus is on the treatment of mood disorders, PTSD, ADHD, and anxiety through psychiatric assessment, medication management and brief psychotherapeutic intervention for clients ages 12-65. I believe in developing an individualized care plan that prioritizes client involvement, interprofessional collaboration and evidenced-based practice.
My goal for my clients is to feel empowered to treat their illness through support, education, and providing a stigma-free environment.
