He has more than 25 years of experience in inpatient, outpatient and private practice psychiatry working with adults. He earned his medical degree from Georgetown Medical School and served his residency at University Hospitals of Cleveland, where he was chief resident.
Dr. Smartnick's specialty areas include treatment of bipolar disorder, major depressive disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), panic disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), postpartum depression and schizophrenia.
