I specialize in helping diagnose and treat children and adolescents who are struggling with anxiety. For these children, anxiety may make managing life in and out of school a challenge: from speaking in class and forging new friendships, to worrying excessively about their grades and the future.
With therapy and (where appropriate) medication, it is possible to help your child better manage and understand their anxiety.

I use Cognitive Behavior Therapy for the treatment of anxiety disorders. The initial 90 minute evaluation will screen for common diagnoses and includes child and parent interview. CBT works best when done regularly, especially at the beginning of treatment. It is important for caregivers to be involved in treatment and meeting with them about every four weeks is helpful.
