Know that you are not alone and that healing is possible for you. Any mental anguish you experience in connection with growing up; encountering bullying, tragedy, or violence; losing someone or something dear to you; or facing overwhelming circumstances does not define who you are. You are so much more than your depression, your anxiety, your loss, or what happened to you. My treatment philosophy incorporates the Swedish principle of LAGOM: "Not too little, not too much; just right. Being in perfect balance.” Together, we’ll tailor a personalized treatment plan that capitalizes on your strengths and moves you toward your best life.
I offer both psychiatric medication management and individual psychotherapy to adults (18-64). I treat depression, anxiety, and other mood disorders. My specialties include navigating healing from PTSD/complex trauma, sexual abuse/assault, and grief/loss. I am keenly aware of the unique mental health needs of men, LGB individuals, and military veterans.
I believe that you are a human being with unlimited potential. Asking for help can feel vulnerable and hard, but it can also be the first step to reclaiming your life. If you are ready to make a change, call me, email me, or visit LagomPsychiatry.com to request an appointment!

My role as your prescriber and/or psychotherapist is not so much to give you advice or guide you on a pre-determined path, but to elicit your own inner knowingness about who you were, who you are, and who you want to become. Only when you connect with this inner knowingness can you step into the sacred process of your own becoming. Who do you want to be?

I've found that a combination of psychotherapeutic approaches is most helpful in addressing the myriad of concerns that bring people to therapy. Regardless of the approach used at any given time, the most important component of successful and meaningful therapy is the quality of the relationship between us. Safety, trust, and unconditional positive regard are the three most important ingredients.
