My practice consists of treating adolescents and adults with various mental health issues. These include generalized anxiety, depression, panic disorder, OCD, social anxiety disorder, PTSD, ADHD, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and schizoaffective disorders. Recently, I have been treating an increasing number of patients who have developed mental and emotional health issues stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic. Background: I have been practicing clinically for 27+ years. I completed my residency at New York State Psychiatric Institute and my Fellowship at Montefiore Medical Center in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry.
I am a proponent of complementing medication treatments with various therapeutic modalities such as Psychodynamic, CBT, DBT, Positive Psychology and Behavioral Modification. I emphasize naturopathic remedies including diet, exercise, mindfulness, meditation, sleep hygiene reframing through realistic self talk, and use of high-level defense mechanisms.
I have a passion for helping individuals develop a long, meaningful, and productive approach to holistic health. My primary goal as a psychiatrist is to promote the mental health and emotional intelligence of my patients so that they can live happy and productive lives.
