Amanda Decker is a board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. Mandy is a graduate of Wilkes University and completed her clinical work through Cherry Hill Psychiatry/Child and Adolescent Psychiatry of Southern New Jersey, as well as the Y. A. L. E School. Mandy specializes in working with the child and adolescent population (ages 5-20). She spent eight years working in child welfare for the State of New Jersey, where she gained extensive experience working with the most challenging of family dynamics.
Her 16-year nursing background includes working with various mental health disorders in both inpatient and outpatient services. Her interests include working with autism spectrum disorders as well as mood, disruptive, impulse-control and conduct disorders. Mandy also treats ADHD, as well as anxiety and depressive disorders.
Her approach to prescribing is conservative in nature, approaching psychiatry from a therapeutic and holistic perspective. I value and respect people. I enjoy my patients and I care about their story. It is important to me to meet my patients where they are at.
