I am a board-certified psychiatrist with 20 years of experience who treats a wide range of emotional health problems in adults. I work to create a safe, non-judgmental space in which we can collaborate. I strive to get to the root of the problem, not just focus on symptoms. I can help you with issues including depression, anxiety, mood instability, relationship concerns, low self worth, life transitions, or even if you're simply feeling stuck. I offer compassion and integrated, individualized care.
I highly value and am invested in psychotherapy, and have found that this approach typically provides more long-term success in achieving your mental health goals versus a medication only approach. I find that medications are not always necessary, but can be helpful when needed in quieting the “background noise” and allowing space to heal.
I have the unique experience of being highly trained and experienced in both medication and psychotherapy modalities. I will integrate both, when appropriate, into your treatment. I believe this facilities my ability to treat you as a whole person.
