I came to BACA Telehealth in 2021, practicing telehealth remotely from Sacramento. Originally from Palo Alto, I completed my undergraduate degree from U.C. Berkeley. After attending the Bryn Mawr College Pre-Med/ Post Bacc Program, I went to Temple University Medical School where I got my MD. While a fourth year med student at Temple, in Philadelphia, I took an elective at UCSF Langley Porter, and became interested in child and adolescent psychiatry.

Dr. Jessica Uno focuses on the assessment, diagnosis, and medication management of a variety of psychiatric conditions across the lifespan. She attended college at Stanford University where she studied Human Biology, followed by earning her Masters' degree in Latin American Studies. During medical school at the University of Southern California, she discovered her passion for psychiatry and caring for the growing brain across the lifespan. She completed Adult Psychiatry training at Kaweah Delta Health Care Center and completed her fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at UC San Francisco. She is double-board certified.

I decided to become a child, adolescent and adult psychiatrist because I believe mental health is deeply connected to our contentment, success, and the achievement of our sense of purpose. Helping others discover a greater sense of self-efficacy and joy for themselves brings me incredible fulfillment and motivates me on a daily basis to do the work that I do. My other passions include spending time in nature, spending time with friends and family, practicing yoga and meditation, enjoying music and art, and learning new information about culture and history.

I was born and raised in Egypt and completed my medical school from Cairo University School of Medicine. After I travelled to California with my husband, I joined Stanford public mental health and population sciences division as a researcher. I completed my adult psychiatry residency from University of New Mexico School of Medicine and my child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at Stanford University. In addition to my clinical work , I am passionate about improving community health through psychoeducational initiatives for underserved & minority populations.

I was born and raised in South Florida and went on to complete medical school and training in Miami, FL. I developed a passion for working with families early in medical training. I have trained in a variety of settings, including inpatient, outpatient, and emergency/crisis services. I also have training in DBT and have worked with college students at the University of Miami undergraduate campus.
