My practice style is holistic, collaborative, trauma informed, evidence based, and socially conscious. While my work is grounded in my medical training at Yale, I believe that DSM diagnoses can't capture the complexity of human experience. I explore alternative understandings of mental health alongside my clients. I treat people with depression, anxiety, OCD, trauma (including race and identity based traumas), and bipolar disorder. I also enjoy working with people who hear voices or see things. My clients are motivated to explore a broad range of tools for wellness, with medication as one tool in the toolbox.

As a Yale trained Board-Certified Adult & Addiction Psychiatrist, I provide only the highest quality and evidence-based mental health treatment. I work with all mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, bipolar, PTSD, OCD, etc. I also specialize in helping with alcohol/drug issues, ADHD, and LGBTQIA+ issues. I have an extensive knowledge of the latest research and treatments and am a strong advocate for the patients I work with. Treatment includes medication management and an optional therapy component. You may also request comprehensive evaluations, and if appropriate, addiction med management including suboxone.

I am an Ivy League-trained and triple-board certified psychiatrist in general psychiatry, geriatric psychiatry, and addiction medicine. My expertise is in diagnosing and treating complex psychiatric conditions, including late-life depression, bipolar spectrum disorders, psychotic disorders, anxiety, personality disorders, substance use, and other disorders.

I am board-certified in general psychiatry as well as fellowship-trained in advanced treatments including Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS). Additionally, I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University, where I work as a member of the Stanford Brain Stimulation Lab. Our lab is responsible for developing and implementing cutting edge psychiatric treatments. I bring this experience to my clinic where I am able to provide these cutting edge, highly-effective and fast-acting treatments to those who suffer with mental health.

Total Wellness Center is psychiatry and counseling practice that offers treatment both in-person and via Telehealth.
