The inner critic is that voice within that limits you from reaching your full potential. It breaks down self-esteem by talking harshly to you or making you feel bad about yourself. In this group, we'll be identifying our own inner critics. We'll learn how inner critics work and why they do what they do. Most importantly we'll learn to quiet the critic. This group will empower you to free yourself from your inner critic and find confidence and security in yourself. THIS 5-WEEK GROUP BEGINS JANUARY 7, 2023. Call today to sign up!

When your needs are not met you may feel anxious, depressed, hopeless and dis-empowered. You may act out in self-destructive or unhelpful ways or may find yourself in unfulfilling relationships. Your needs matter. You are worthy of love, belonging, safety, security and success. If it doesn't feel that way to you, I want to help you discover your inherent value and worth.

The Mind Body Sleep (MBS) philosophy is to provide health-focused, integrative, evidence-based, and whole-person-centered psychotherapy services to improve overall physical and mental health well-being. MBS believes in a multidisciplinary and multi-modal approach that considers the complexities and hardships of life and the impact that these have on physical and mental health. We have a “whole-person, mind-body-centered” approach to foster self-efficacy, resilience, and life satisfaction across all domains of life. The MBS treatment philosophy includes a concentration on sleep health, which we believe has a butterfly effect on all other domains of life.

This group is created as a safe space for individuals who identify as empaths and/or highly sensitive beings. You may often feel overwhelmed by yours and others' emotions or notice dramatic shifts in mood just by entering a new space. Often empaths are not aware of where their energy ends and others' energies begin. In this group, we will work to cultivate energetic hygiene practices, emotional processing skills and subtle body awareness. Reach out to for a free consultation today.

Whether it's a feeling of disconnection, depression, grief, low self-worth or anxiety -- together we will co-create an individualized road map back to your Self.
I am so happy that you made it here. Though I do not know the many steps that led you to this page, I can imagine the road has been dark at times. It was like this for me, too - a thousand lost steps in the dark. The healing journey can be wrought with confusion, uncertainty and self-defeat. I learned early on that this journey is not meant to be walked alone. Over the years, I have integrated many wisdoms into a realized practice for the whole soul. And in gratitude, I'd like to share with you what I've learned.

Anxiety Support Groups

What are the most common treatments for anxiety?

Talk therapy, particularly cognitive behavioral therapy, is the most common treatment for anxiety. Studies have shown it is equally effective as medication. Other popular forms of therapy are popular, depending on a patient’s experience. Exposure therapy, for instance, can be useful for people dealing with fears and phobias, or who have experienced traumatic events. Dialectical Behavioral Therapy may be useful for patients who need help with emotion regulation. Anxiolytic medications, like benzodiazepines, can also help with calming a person enough to focus on the skills they’ve learned, and physical exercise has been shown to help symptoms of anxiety across the board.

How long does therapy for anxiety take to work?

The amount of time needed to alleviate symptoms depends on the severity of a person’s condition. Some therapies may take 5-20 weekly sessions to show results. Anti-depressant medications typically take two to four weeks before a benefit is felt. Anti-anxiety medications are felt typically within 20-30 minutes. Medications are best used to offer a patient a better headspace in which to work on techniques learned in therapy. Exercise, improved sleep habits, and meditation are effective, but takes weeks or months to show results.

When should I seek treatment for anxiety?

Everyone feels anxious at times, but when anxiety causes disruption to your daily life, it may be time to seek help. Such disruption can be mental, physical, or both: having fear dominate your thoughts, avoiding situations or objects that bring on feelings of anxiety, or experiencing shortness of breath, sweating, dizziness, or panic attacks. When these symptoms are recurrent and distressing, it may be time to talk to someone.

How effective is treatment for anxiety?

Treatment for anxiety has been shown to be moderately to highly effective, according to a large body of psychology studies and analyses. For some people, treatment using CBT or exposure therapy alone is effective. Others respond best to a combination of medication and therapy.
