If your teenager feels stressed out by all the demands of school, extracurricular activities, difficult relationships, & the pressure to get into the right schools, then this group could be very useful. I have years of experience working at Columbia University's School-Based Health Centers and with students at many private and public high schools and colleges throughout Manhattan and Westchester. I had Postgraduate Psychoanalytic Training in Adolescent Development and Treatment, and have written a chapter on evaluating, treating, and preventing teen suicide. I will use many techniques, including humor, to help your teenager deal with all the anxiety & stress of modern-day life.

Often when we experience a crisis in our life it can be an opportunity to grow and get to the next level and achieve what we really want. Usually, it is longstanding interpersonal difficulties that cause problems at home and at work. Through supportive exploration and self-reflection, clients work to identify their patterns of communication and learn more effective ways to relate to others. I will use many techniques, including the latest in mindfulness-based techniques, to help you develop more successful communication and coping skills, improve your relationships and move forward with your career.
