Social Skills Group (ages 12-15) - Virtual
This virtual group aims to assist children with difficulty in social settings. The goal is to teach youth how to interact appropriately with others through instruction, role playing, practice, and feedback. Areas of focus include initiating and maintaining relationships, awareness of nonverbal expressions, coping strategies, expressing emotions, problem solving and changes in routine. Participants must be fully verbal. Treatment modalities include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Modeling, and Prompting amongst others. The group will take place once per month for an hour per session. The first group session is used as a trial session to determine the appropriateness of the group for the child.

Individuals with Autism (ages 16-21) - Virtual
The goal of this virtual group is to provide support to individuals on the spectrum including learning about their diagnoses, improving social skills, and practicing strategies to overcome challenges and foster independence. Each session will have a different topic to focus on including respecting boundaries and personal space, maintaining relationships, emotional regulation, behavioral challenges, increasing motivation, support with education, conversation skills, coping strategies, routines and accepting change. Group meets once a month for 1 hour.
