Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is about accepting what is out of your personal control and committing to action that enriches your life. The aim of ACT is to maximize human potential for a rich, full and meaningful life. ACT does this by teaching you psychological skills to address your painful thoughts and feelings effectively in such a way that they have much less impact and influence over you (and the choices you make surrounding relationships, substance use, food and eating, etc.). ACT also helps you to clarify your values then using that knowledge to guide, inspire and motivate you to change your life.

Please leave the name of your insurance when you contact me so I can best serve you. Adults, children, adolescents, and their families are welcomed in my private practice, and playroom for the children. My specialty for over 25 years has been working with children, adolescents, and their families. After becoming a Level II EMDR trauma therapist in the past 20 years, I have worked with many adults challenged by difficulties. Both my adult and child clients are often faced with depression, anxiety, and grief commonly created by divorce, death, adoption, abuse, and feelings of hopelessness, anger, and poor self-esteem.

Self-pay practice: I do not accept any insurance. Virtual, Sports-Based, Walk & Talk Therapy aimed at getting you out of your head and back into your life. Have you ever felt, "No matter how much I try, I keep repeating old patterns?" There's a big difference between cognitively "Knowing" and subconsciously "Doing." Adversity is a part of the human experience. I work from the understanding that the body remembers and is trying to protect. This leads to automatic and protective stress responses. Deeper healing involves processing and releasing stressors within the whole self, learning to trust oneself, and calming the nervous system.
