Our thoughts, beliefs and bodies reflect our emotional struggles. We often come to therapy when old ways of coping aren't working anymore- when we long for comfort, relief, or more authentic and deeper connections in our relationships. The whole person needs to be addressed in times of crisis, transition and loss. Healing is a word derived from the German hailjan- “to make whole.” I work with a holistic, acceptance-based and contemplative approach to psychotherapy. Practicing self-compassion and self- acceptance lead to less reactivity and more peaceful, integrated and intentional lives.

This psychotherapy group is for men who struggle with their connection to others and want to become more effective at building and sustaining close, personal relationships. The goal of the group is to improve relationship awareness, deepen self-understanding, and to learn skills that strengthen one's tie to significant others. Through a combination of interactive learning and guided practice, members learn how they build (and how they block) the warmth and closeness they seek.

You may be visiting out of curiosity, but more likely, you're here because you're troubled. You may be WORRIED about your temper and how it puts your job or marriage at risk. Or DISCOURAGED by a painful loss or breakup. Or STRESSED by the demands of daily life. Whatever led you here, you CAN shape your life more to your liking and move confidently toward what matters to you.

This psychotherapy group is for older adults who welcome the chance for personal growth in later life. The purpose of the group is to know yourself and others. It is for men and women who have lively minds and are inspired when they encounter people still curious about what life has to offer. Members use the group in various ways, but whatever their motivation, they are interested in self-exploration and interaction with others as a way to increase self-knowledge, improve their relationships with others and shape their lives in meaningful and rewarding ways.

A group for men. A community of divorced fathers supporting each other. We will work to navigate the role of being either a single or non-custodial father and how to stay connected to your children, even when you're not with them. We will also address how to maintain a positive relationship with ex-spouses and extended family as well as how to remain an active part of parenting. Group will be starting this spring. An intake session is required.
