I use a verity of modalities in my practice including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, Play Therapy, Solution Focused and Trauma Focused interventions.
Looking for clarity, struggling with substance use, fighting with depression and anxiety, or any other mental health issues. I can assist. I help my clients in navigating the stressors of their individual lives. I identify the different values and ideologies of all my clients. Together we map a situation and figure out a solution that is in line with their personal desires so they are able to reach goals set. The three theories I use most in my practice are humanistic/self-determination, behaviorism and psychodynamic theory. With humanistic/self-determination theory I can ensure I help my clients achieve their highest potential.

I am honored to be of service to you. I know that trauma and substance abuse and addiction can wreak havoc in one's life. Many of client's find themselves faced with challenges of having to restart their lives during mental challenges and addiction; some may have to fight to regain custody of their children; many of them have co-occurring mental illness that has lead to substance abuse and/or addiction. For some, addiction comes by way of biological, environmental, and social influences, but from my experience, I have learned that mental illness was present before addiction became a factor. Do you feel like emotions control you instead of you controlling them? Has being perceived felt exhausting? Feel like life feels heavier than it's supposed to? I'm here to support you. It's okay to feel like you need to be heard, have someone to talk things through with, celebrate the little wins in life, and hold you accountable to the goals you want to succeed in. As a queer therapist, I understand the unique challenges and traumas of living authentically in a world that often marginalizes our identities. My work is focused on being neuroaffirmative, LGBTQIA+ affirmative, trauma-informed, and culturally competent for all.
