You learned that to get through life, you must be perfect, “proper,” and stay invisible. But operating down this path comes at a cost: overwhelming pressure, self-hatred, and feeling like an imposter in your skin. Belonging has never been easy for me, especially as a child of Asian immigrant parents. The pressure to be "enough" for others or to offset the guilt I felt for all the sacrifices my parents made to succeed in the United States has contributed to my resilience and anxious attempts to hide my imperfections. So, this is an invitation to those who want permission to mess up, be imperfect, and recover from unmet needs.

Recognizing how addiction impacts you physically, mentally, and spiritually can be an awesome awakening to an entirely new way of life. As a psychologist, I work collaboratively with individuals ages 18+ to help them explore what has led to current life difficulties and to work toward the changes they desire. I am a generalist in that I work with many different presenting issues from relationship difficulties to anxiety and depression. However, I have developed particular interest in working with trauma, adult survivors of childhood abuse, cancer issues, spiritual concerns, and with people with intuitive and empathic gifts. I take an integrative approach to my work drawing heavily on interpersonal, psychodynamic, and mindfulness -based cognitive therapy models.

When we've experienced unhealthy relationship dynamics or trauma, it can be hard to know how to trust ourselves and others. This can lead to low self-worth, codependency, repeating unwanted patterns, depression, or relational issues. Safely exploring what is at the core of these issues will allow you to live a more authentic and connected life. I work primarily with women who want to uncover their core beliefs and subconscious patterns in order to consciously create the life they desire. Unburden yourself by learning how to compassionately accept your story, process your emotions, and become the safe, loving place you yearn for.

We live in stressful, changing, disconnected times. People are feeling exhausted, lonely, powerless and isolated. Many are filled with negative self talk. I help people realize what has kept them stuck and unfulfilled. Together we will develop a plan to remove those barriers so they can become the person they were intended to be; that they WANT to be. If you are tired of promising yourself that tomorrow will be different, let's begin your journey now. As Ernest Hemingway said, " Today is the only day in all the days that will ever be. But what will happen in all the other days that ever come will depend on what you do today."

You’re no stranger to achievement. You graduated near the top of your class, carved out a successful career for yourself, and continue to kill it in your professional life. Problem is, when you feel so anxious and unsure of yourself, it’s hard to enjoy the life you’ve worked so hard to create. You struggle to build meaningful relationships because you can never relax enough to be the real you around others. Your work suffers because you’re constantly worrying that others are secretly judging you. And though you’ve practically perfected the art of hiding your distress from others, it leaves you feeling utterly exhausted and alone.

Moms spend much of their lives focused on the needs of children and families, and when they leave in one way or another, mom's role changes too. You may be asking yourself, what do I do now? This group is a safe, confidential space to explore what is next, laugh, cry, and share support with others who are in the same position. This is also a place to remember YOU and your needs, wants, desires, and dreams. We use various meditative and mindbody techniques to reconnect to inner wisdom and repurpose those skills you so painstakingly acquired during your command performance as mom.

My joy is supporting others in coming back to themselves and ultimately to their connection with others and with the divine. Whether exploring the patterns developed during our conception, birth or early life, or connecting with the body’s wisdom, there is a way we can be with what is happening that allows us to integrate what is most essential. Slowing down, finding your rhythm, tuning in to what you are needing and wanting for yourself, being curious…some sessions are deeply restorative, some profound or surprising, some simply provide the necessary structure for living fully in this 3-D world.

My idea as a psychotherapist is to provide safe, comfortable & judgment-free environment for clients to work through issues. My role as a psychotherapist is to respect the goals that my clients come in with, and support the process of working toward these goals. I believe Psychotherapy can enhance one's self-awareness and the ability to recognize in one's own self-defeating and self-sabotaging patterns, and to change these patterns.

I know it can feel like a challenge to ask for help - I know because I've done it myself. You've started to reflect on some of the things that have happened to you in life, maybe based on the way you were raised or significant events that have altered your way of living and thinking. You may feel stuck, you want more from your life and you want to change. You understand that in order to make change, you've got to work through some layers of your mind that can be inhibiting your growth. Allowing another person to hold your story with you sounds iffy but there is deep relief in knowing you are not alone.
