You are still in control of your story. The person you will become is determined by you. God can use your past to shape your future so you can become someone that you can be proud to see in the mirror. The No Dessert Before Dinner (NDBD) program is designed to help young girls foster a positive internal and external view of themselves. It is founded upon 4 pillars to create and shape a positive self-identity: self value (V), self-image (I), self-esteem (E) and self-worth (W).

This is a group for people who are dealing with the loss of a beloved pet. Pets are like children for some people. They are often considered to be best friends, companions, and I’ve also heard soul mates. It is not uncommon for people who have enjoyed this kind of company day in and day out to become distraught over this tremendous loss and not know what to do, or how to cope with it. I provide a safe, caring, and comfortable environment with people who are enduring the same hardship to share feelings, memories, and often tears, together.

No matter how hard you try to move forward, you feel like your taking one step back. You’re a high performer with perfectionism tendencies and always put on a smile, which helps you forget your pain. You feel you will never be fully happy and never be able to fully enjoy life how others do, because of your many losses, attributing to your decreased self esteem. You may keep friends and family at a distance, to protect yourself from yet another inevitable loss. You may have stopped exercising and taking care of yourself the way you used to, since it takes too much work and you're just surviving at the end of another long day.

Do you feel as if your life is unmanageable? Are you struggling to manage your life as is? It’s no secret that life doesn’t fight fair. At times, it can seem that nothing goes the way we really want it to, no matter how well we plan. Fortunately, we were built to adapt and recover quickly. It is our own resilience that dictates what happens next and not life’s quirkiness or unpredictability. I collaborate with adults 18 and older to successfully manage life using healthy responses and sustainable coping skills. I have assisted individuals with addictions, complex-trauma, and personality disorders for 5+ years.

You may be surprised to find out that chronic pain is often (though not always) caused by emotional stress, and especially exasperated by sublimated anger and “people pleasing syndrome.” If you are suffering from severe chronic pain, it's important to get it checked out by a physician, preferably one that is familiar with TMS.

WELCOME! I am so glad you are here. As a pain psychotherapist (etymologically, “psychotherapist” means an “attendant of the soul”), I begin with the conviction that transformation is only possible in the context of a safe and trusting relationship and that your highest Self already knows what it needs to heal. I also am of the Palliative Care Philosophy that “True Pain” consists of at least five dimensions: physical, psychological, emotional, social, and spiritual/existential.
