I recently decided to let go of my office and offer virtual sessions. My practice is limited to women. Although I specialize in the treatment for post-traumatic stress disorder as a result of childhood abuse (physical, sexual, emotional), I have a few openings for women struggling with other issues such as depression, anxiety, and life stressors. I am getting ready to start an online survivor group and self-esteem group. Groups have been by far the most lifechanging mode of therapy in my 30 years of experience.

This online community meets every Monday at 1 p.m. for one hour and at night as well from 7:30-9. We discuss loss, Big Love and Big Emotions. In the grief group context there is healing, witnessing and an opportunity to find connection with others, where connection may be lost due the trauma of this huge change in your life: the loss of your loved one. This is a monthly fee of $79 and your commitment renews monthly. This is not billable to insurance but an education and connection community of bereaved souls coming together for support.

I specialize in grief work. I am a spirit medium as well as a mental health counselor. I use EMDR (eye movement) to help clients experience Induced After Death Communication (IADC) with their loved ones. This helps facilitate the grief process and has a powerful impact on understanding how your loved one is still with you and continues to help you and shape your life. This is the most powerful tool I have found in grief work and I find it incredibly more helpful than even doing mediumship readings. Though both have their benefits.

[No current group -- contact if interested] Adult Third Culture Kids and Military Brats (TCKs and Brats) often find themselves unable to build a sense of home and social belonging. They often spent their youth in a foreign culture, and still feel mixed in their social identity, sometimes feeling more ties to the foreign community of their youth than to their "passport" country. Many enjoy more connection, and have more in common, with other TCKs and Brats than with anyone else. Many isolate, but even after years, group therapy can bring self-recognition and connection, and finally settle their culture shock.

Therapy weaves life into the fabric of our stories. I am especially interested in the challenges experienced by the adult children of military parents - Military Brats, we boldly call ourselves - and Third Culture Kids (TCKs), Ruth Useem's term for people who spent part of their development in cultures and places different from their passport country. Brats and TCKs often feel lingering culture shock long after their travels are over, if they ever are over. We may seem rootless, but our roots spread far and wide. We struggle to make sense of our wonders, worries, and wanderings; our adventures. I love deeply those adventures.

My passion is working with children 10yo & under who experience anxiety, depression, PTSD, family transitions, grief, & disruptions in attachment. I utilize dance/movement, music, storytelling, play, and art therapies to help children engage in the therapeutic process and heal. Through activities, children are able to freely express emotions and learn to self-soothe using the techniques that naturally help to learn about themselves and the world around them. Parent training & family therapy are also frequently used to support caregivers in responding to children with high emotional needs.
