My practice is: Queer/ Trans-affirming, Neurodiversity-affirming, Body positive, Fat positive, Sex positive, Kink-affirming, and Poly/Non-Monogamy-affirming. I work with individuals and relationships. I like to establish up front that I am a safe person to correct, call-out, interrupt, disagree and argue with. It will not impact our therapeutic relationship. You are the expert of your own life.

DBT is comprehensive treatment program developed by Dr. Marsha Linehan, based on Dialectics and Biosocial theory. This treatment focuses on the reduction of self-injurious and impulsive behavior, increasing management of extreme mood dysregulation, improving cognitive distortions, and decreasing crisis-oriented and chaotic interpersonal relationships. DBT is effective in supporting individuals who experience chronic suicidal behavior, frequent hospitalizations and treatment resistant behaviors.

In a 12-session telehealth group for female survivors of childhood trauma, we explore the impact of abuse, neglect, abandonment and trauma. The primary focus is on understanding adult challenges and automatic reactions, practicing healing tools and processing the emotions that accompany past events. Exercises include: * Guided imagery meditations * Inner child work * CBT * EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) * Affirmations * Mindfulness * EMDR demo * FLASH * Polyvagal exercises. All groups are closed groups, i.e. participants start and complete the program together. Next group starts in April 2025.
Please note that I currently only have openings for upcoming groups, not individual therapy. I am an EMDR Certified Therapist and Consultant who specializes in the treatment of trauma and dissociation. I believe that healing from trauma is possible (as opposed to just learning how to cope with post-traumatic symptoms). I consider therapy a collaborative, creative process. Clinically, I am warm, active, innovative and data-driven. I incorporate clinical hypnosis, inner child work, ketamine assisted psychotherapy, TF-CBT, EFT, mindfulness, the FLASH technique and polyvagal exercises into EMDR therapy as needed.

This online group is for adoptive mothers. This group is for women that are about to adopt a child, raising an adopted child/children or have adopted children that are now grown. In my experience working with adopted kids I have found that mothers often bear the brunt of the attachment wound. This often goes unrecognized and unsupported. This group will offer space to share and connect with and support others. I will also offer psychoeducation and coaching as to how to manage your own needs and best support the needs of your adopted child/children.
Greetings, I am a clinical mental health counselor with over twenty years of experience in the mental health field working with a variety of clients. Our broad goal––of course––is “the end of unnecessary suffering.” Sound about right? While we all strive for this, I specialize in helping folks with a very-unique kind of suffering: OCD. I can tell you that few people understand the pain and complexity of OCD—(even most therapists). I will listen intently to your unique story. Just know that I can introduce you to an arsenal of tools that can help: mindfulness, ERP (exposure and response prevention) and on and on. Yes, thoughts can be “sticky.” But––with hard work––if (or when) those thoughts come back around…they can be as quiet & as harmless as a yellow post-it.

I specialize in depression, anxiety and trauma, and the use of alternative psychotherapy approaches. (However, I do offer traditional approaches). These new psychotherapies are body-centered and mindfulness-based. In other words, we are more than our thoughts - we are our sensations, feelings and that something which is greater than the self, the transpersonal. These new psychotherapies work directly with client's moment to moment awareness of what is felt or sensed within the body. These felt sensed experiences are then processed through cognition which then allow for the opportunity of insight, change and healing.
