I have over 25 years of experience with proven success addressing the mind, body and spirit to resolve and integrate all issues relating to trauma and women’s empowerment. “I couldn’t recommend Stella Vidal enough! She truly has a gift for insight and social intelligence. Stella offers compassion, but also calls for tough love as needed. She also approaches therapy from a multi-dimensional perspective by integrating spiritual and physical wellness into our sessions.”
Grief support groups are a way for individuals who have experienced any kind of loss to have a place to discuss with others who have had similar experiences. Grief can be isolating, so this space is a way for individuals to know they are not going through it alone.

On the surface, everything is fine. You do your work, pay your bills, and seem to have it all together. But inside is a different story. Your emotions are unpredictable – dizzyingly high one moment, then crashing back to earth the next. It’s impossible to find relief from the constant triggers and intrusive thoughts, so you hide. But in the process, you’re shrinking from the world. Nobody sees the real you, and it feels so isolating. You’d love to be able to express how you really feel, but you’re scared of how people would react. So you smile through your struggles and suffer in silence. If only there were some other way to live.
This group was created as a support group for people who are suffering from Covid related stress, anxiety and depression. The cost for this group is covered by most insurance.

Do you often find yourself agreeing to things you don’t like or don't want to do? Have you had enough of being overly accommodating in order to please others at the cost of your own wellbeing, without much of a return? Isn't it time to break this endless cycle and stop pleasing everyone but yourself? I’m here to help. As your psychologist, I’ll provide you with a safe judgment-free space to be vulnerable, where we can discuss your situation and examine your habits that are making it hard for you to stop pleasing others. During our sessions, you can feel heard and empowered to start living your life for yourself, and not others.
This group will be for 6 weeks starting in January 2023. The purpose is for you to understand your grief as well as other people's grief and for you to have support . This will be a group attended by ZOOM so it does not matter where you live .

Grief Support Groups
How long does therapy take for grief?
There is no exact timeline for grief counseling. Some people may start to feel better after just a few sessions, while others may take months or longer to feel relief. Some specific approaches, including some types of CBT, may involve a set number of sessions, or therapy may be open-ended until the patient determines they are ready to wrap up. Just as there is no right or wrong way to grieve, there is no right or wrong way to seek therapy for grief.
When should you seek therapy for grief?
Many people mistakenly believe that their grief needs to be debilitating or all-encompassing to warrant therapy. This is not the case. While people who experience severe, prolonged grief—particularly those who are considering self-harm or engaging in unhealthy substance use—are especially likely to benefit from therapy, so too are people whose grief is less intense but still interfering with well-being or daily functioning. In practice, almost anyone struggling to process a loss could benefit from grief counseling.
Can grief be managed without therapy?
Oftentimes, yes. Grief is a near-universal part of being human, and many find that their grief, while profound, does not stop them from participating in day-to-day life and steadily eases over time without outside help. For others, however, the harsh pain of early grief persists for months or years or leaves them unable to function. This group is especially likely to benefit from seeing a therapist, who can guide them through their grief and help them reconnect with the world.
What happens if grief is left untreated?
Because grief does not in itself necessitate therapy, untreated grief will often resolve on its own. However, for some people—particularly those who would qualify for a diagnosis of prolonged grief disorder—untreated grief can be a source of seemingly endless pain or lead them to withdraw from the world. In such cases, treatment can be indispensable, as it can help an individual adapt to the loss and start living again.
