Facing Our Fears
Most people do not have a free and safe environment in which they feel comfortable sharing. This group allows members to explore their emotions and behaviors safely. Group provides opportunities to hear from multiple people who are sharing similar situations with different perspectives. These experiences can help you develop new strategies, along with an understanding of the interplay of thoughts, emotions, physical sensations, and behaviors. Lastly, you will learn the coping skills that will help you to effectively manage life in a new way—living, growing, and ultimately healing old wounds. Each session is designed to last 90 minutes. Ongoing, you can join anytime.

Without question, ages 12-14 are some of the roughest years of life. It's a period of developmental upheaval where every facet of life is "under new management." Friends become foes then friends again during a class period. Drama runs as wild as a high speed roller-coaster with twists, turns, and kids screaming, yelling. In this nurturing space, the lessons presented are designed to offer an understanding of the expected and unexpected daily events going on in a kid's life in grades 7-8 as well as empowering them with skills to cope and manage the situation.
