Spravato® is the first prescription nasal spray, taken with an oral antidepressant, for: adults with treatment-resistant depression or for depressive symptoms in adults with with suicidal thoughts or actions. Those who took Spravato® and an oral antidepressant experienced greater reductions of depressive symptoms at four weeks. Spravato® is only can be given under the supervision of a provider in office setting, patient needs to be monitored for 2 hours after receiving treatment.
