DBT for Teen Girls

This group is designed to help teens enhance skills essential to managing life stressors. Topics addressed include peers, anxiety, depression, pressures, grief, loss, anger, bullying, self-esteem, academic stress, parents, siblings, expectations, resentments, self-harm, accountability, and substance abuse. Skill-building includes mindfulness, emotion regulation, interpersonal effectiveness, distress tolerance, and ongoing strategies to reduce negative thinking or destructive behaviors. For clients seeking residential or outpatient aftercare, this group reinforces the DBT skills learned in PHP or IOP, including support for relapse prevention, managing triggers, and maintaining healthy coping skills. Sessions are on Sundays with a maximum of 5 clients.
