If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change. That is why my therapeutic goal is to work with you to grow and gain new perspective so you can welcome change and accomplish your short/long term goals. As a therapist, I am warm, encouraging, supportive, and nonjudgmental, while using a sense of humor with a down to earth approach to counseling. I currently practice as a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor and am actively working toward being a Licensed Professional Counselor.

In this workshop, we create a safe and supportive environment to explore with words the nature of self and healing. We will teach one another through listening and gentle feedback how the stories that we create on paper can teach us the true nature of ourselves and thereby heal us from within. We will learn not only how the stories we tell ourselves keep us struggling, but also how to write the new ones we'd like to live. These stories will start through our own experience and take the shape of many forms: lists, poetry, journal entries, fiction, etc.

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and have worked with adults and adolescents in the Greater Hartford area for over 10 years. My specialties include working with individuals and families to identify and heal intergenerational patterns of trauma and helping adolescents and pre-teens navigate the often-bumpy journey from puberty to launching. I have a passion for working with couples, challenging them to improve communication and to invite intimacy, passion, and security back into their relationship.

Tree of Life Counseling Center- An integrative, multicultural, practice of compassionate healing and growth. You are not just lectured at or listened to, we come together to help spark that part of you that was always there. We create more of a learning and practicing environment until it feels natural. Everyone starts out in life learning from their experiences and those who raise us. Later we can add more effective communication approaches, gain a deeper understanding, and efficient, empathetic problem solving. We've led people to a better understanding of themselves and accomplishment of their goals.
