Children's Social Skills Group
We hold weekly Social Skills Group to learn how to communicate and build meaningful relationships with others. In group, children learn emotional reciprocity, how to "read" their peers, and the natural "give and take" in conversation. Building self-confidence and trust in others, while enhancing one's ability to demonstrate effective communication and enhance their soft skills is a must for children on the autism spectrum to feel competent in the world.

Soft Skills Group for Children
This group is designed for the younger child. We meet weekly to play board games with the group leader in a small group setting. We learn the art of how to be a "good friend" through building the necessary skills of social reciprocity, and learning how to be an active listener; not "talking over or to" someone, as well as, being patient. We focus on curbing impulsivity and taking turns, waiting for others to express themselves, so we can find true connection with others to build meaningful friendships. The goal is to create a true connection with one other member by the end of group.
