Support Groups in San Francisco, CA
This group meets once a month as an add to the Somatic Therapy: Life Tune-UP group, so altogether you meet 3x a month. Divorce is not what we ever wish for, but it is one of the pivotal times in our lives. We can unintentionally exacerbate the pain, difficulties and co-parenting challenges or we can grow during the experience with reduced negative impact. This is group works with specific divorce-related themes, such as attachment, trust, fear, finances, boundaries, and communication under stress. We learn with one another over time and so commit by the semester (fall/spring).

Our life experiences can lead us to question our identity and purpose in the world we live in. This can lead us to anxiety, depression, and trauma. Do you want to improve how you face challenges, function in your relationships, and face overwhelming feelings? I place heavy importance on addressing trauma. Trauma disintegrates the parts that make up your whole self, which can leave aspects of who you are hidden from your awareness. Left unaddressed, anxiety and depression can worsen, which can rob you of the necessary connection that all human beings need to thrive. I aim to help you process unresolved trauma.
Do you want more freedom and ease in your life? Just wanting a place and people to get real with? I run weekly meeting 90-minute Men's process groups online. Join our ongoing, long term (leave when you like), closed (same men every week) groups to clear the internal blocks that keep you from deeper more satisfying relationships. IRL Groups are designed to help you make your unconscious conscious. Men in our groups experience increased self-awareness, freedom, and satisfaction. Included in cost of group is our annual In-Person Retreat. Limited space is available. Learn more @ Irlmen.com

What is your purpose? How can you build your life to honor your essential purpose? We can use the power of depth therapy to help you answer these vital questions for yourself. In session together, we work to support your relationships, work/life structure and dreams. One goal will be in you finding the freedom of recognizing your authentic self. I have a deep interest in the power of transitional periods (such as becoming a parent, young adults leaving for college, loss of a parent, mid-life changes and reflections, empty nest adjustments) as inflection points for change. These transitions are where real growth often happens.

Are you struggling to process depression, anxiety, relationship/family issues, and trauma? These emotional ruptures can cause major disruptions in our lives. The work to process these types of life events is multifaceted, and I can help you identify your feelings and potential relational patterns, build tolerance and acceptance around challenging ones, and set meaningful goals. Many people questioning their gender identity feel that they may be an imposter, that somehow they may not qualify as non-binary or trans, frozen in this state for fear that they may come out as non-binary or trans only to later realize that they were somehow wrong. People tend to struggle in isolation (even when surrounded by accepting queer community). These experiences inspired me to create a space for folks in this stage of exploration to normalize this perfectly normal experience. If any of this resonates with you, I welcome you to join our group.

My approach to therapy emphasizes self knowledge, empowerment and insight helping move towards a more integral, meaningful and gratifying life. It is with passion and kindness that I witness the healing transformation a person goes through in the therapeutic relationship. Originally from Brazil, I speak English, Spanish, and Portuguese working with clients who speak these languages. Three theories permeate my work: the Integral theory of Ken Wilber, Psychodynamic theory, and Hakomi. I integrate into the analysis the physical, mental, emotional, and social parts of the self (Integral) in a mindfulness-based, body inclusive, and experiential perspective (Hakomi).
