Building Resiliency Through Art for Teens
Building Resilience in Families Through Art is a safe space for families surviving chronic stress and trauma. These sessions will give you and your family a special time to bond in new ways that weren’t possible during the chronic stress/trauma. You will have fun and develop greater trust and respect for each other. These workshops help families explore where they have come from and the kind of future they envision for themselves. Learn to reconnect in a healthy way and make space for all your feelings. Family = 1 parent + 1 or 2 children ages 7-12. Sep 10-Nov 19 fee is $990.

Art Transforming Trauma
Because words are not enough. Expressive art is a catalyst for profound breakthroughs leading to growth and change. Through creating art, you can begin to define and acknowledge what is important to you and recognize your unique needs and strengths. R1:99 offers a clinical expressive art group for adults of complex trauma (military, sexual, DV, etc.) centered on themes (i.e. voice, strength, safety, resilience, etc.) designed to support the healing process and connect to one another. This is a closed group - 10 maximum. Location: 700 M St SE Navy Yard- free parking Tuesdays Sep 10- Nov 19 Fee $650 includes all art supplies.
