Anger Managment Group
The goal of the anger management groups are to assist clients with learning how to manage their anger effectively and to begin the process of understanding and eventually resolving the emotional issues underlying the client's anger. This group will consist of Psychosocial Skills Learning, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Interpersonal Group Psychotherapy. Psychotherapy involves talking to the clients about their problems with counselors who will help them to explore the causes of their anger and ways to manage. The client will identify stressors and steps to help them to stay calm in anger situations so they can handle tense situations in a constructive, positive manner.

Substance Abuse Group
The Substance Abuse Group provides a support system for people with drug and alcohol problems. Some participants may be court-ordered and others are self-referred who are seeking treatment to end their addiction and other behavioral issues. Addiction groups teach individuals how to modify their behaviors with the intention of full recovery. Addiction groups are beneficial because clients are susceptible to relapses. Therefore, substance abuse counselors will work with clients on an on-going basis.

Batterer's Intervention Prevention
JFHS is a BIP provider for Osceola and Orange County Courts. The purpose of the BIP program is for victim safety and the safety of children if present. The program is a 29-week program, plus intake, assessment, and orientation planning. The program content is based on a psychoeducational model that addresses tactics of power and control by one person over another. The curriculum utilized is "The Duluth Model": The Duluth Curriculum, Creating a Process of Change for men who batter. It is a psychoeducation and skill-building model delivered in a classroom format.
