Adult DBT Skills Training Group
Do you have big emotions? Do you feel impulsive? Do you struggle communicating with the ones you love? Or have a poor self-image? The goal of a DBT group is to help you change actions, emotions, thoughts, and communication styles that cause problems in your life. In 15 weeks, we cover four modules: Core Mindfulness, Distress Tolerance, Emotion Regulation and Interpersonal Effectiveness. I follow a format, developed from clinical research trials, that has evidence demonstrating its ability to help clients have a higher quality of life.

ED & Overcontrol Skills Group (RO-DBT)
Radically-Open Dialectical Behavior Therapy (RO DBT) is an evidence-based treatment approach aimed towards treating disorders of overcontrol, where individuals exhibit a level of self-control that interferes with their ability to function effectively, connect with others, and be flexible when needed. RO-DBT has been found to be helpful for several diagnoses including chronic depression, anorexia nervosa, OCD, treatment-resistant anxiety, autism spectrum disorders, and maladaptive perfectionism. RO-DBT Skills class is a structured 30-week group that meets for 90 minutes focusing on building three core components: Receptivity and Openness, Flexible-control and Intimacy and social-connectedness.
