Adolescent Intensive Outpatient Group

The Recovery Happens Adolescent Services Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is designed for adolescents (13-17) who are struggling to utilize weekly individual therapy or were recently discharged from a psychiatric hospital or residential facility. We work to address barriers in interpersonal communication, emotion regulation, thoughts of self-harm or suicide, or difficulty adapting to stressful circumstances. Adolescents work with our clinicians to utilize Dialectical Behavior Therapy strategies, art therapy techniques, movement and mindfulness, and therapeutic games to incorporate new skills in a group context. Families are invited to participate in twice monthly family sessions, and parent consultation is available as well.
