Most of us at one time or another need help, but feel overwhelmed asking for it. Are you having a hard time making sense of what is going on in your life? If you find yourself having a difficult time moving on from past life events which leave you feeling stuck, paralyzed, irritable, anxious, sad, depressed, or overwhelmed, then I would like to help you. Therapy cannot change what happened to you in the past, but it can provide insight, understanding, and resolution. Allow me to help you make sense of the things that no longer make sense.

I have been a practitioner of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) since February 2014. I believe that this martial art is perfectly suited to self-defense, as it specifically teaches smaller, weaker individuals to use leverage, bone structure, and body physics to overcome opponents with a clear physical advantage. I have specialized training and experience teaching self-defense techniques to individuals with a trauma history. This group is offered on an as-needed basis, and the material can be taught 1:1, to families, or with other group configurations.

I believe that the most important factor of success in therapy is the authentic relationship. I have a passion for learning about each client's talents and strengths and using those to increase their life satisfaction. I believe that all people have a desire to live the best lives they can live, and at times need support in identifying and eliminating the barriers that prevent them from doing so. I believe that trauma, whether from watching the daily news or experiencing combat in war, is at the root of many of these barriers.
