Pregnancy is an amazing period in a woman's life! Perhaps because of this, it can also be extremely challenging. Join us in a group designed to teach you how to use Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) skills during this time. DBT is a cognitive behavioral treatment developed by Marsha Linehan, Ph.D., ABPP. It is evidence-based and helps people learn to use new skills and strategies to develop a life that they experience worth living. The group will focus on learning and implementing skill from DBT's four modules: mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation and interpersonal effectiveness.

I use resiliency skills in the “here and now” during our sessions to build healthy habits for sustainable wellness. I also value collaboration, and often invite feedback to ensure your voice and purpose is at the center of the work,

I am the founder of Lincoln Park Psychology and I work with people of all ages. I am often sought out for high-risk adolescents, patients with low self-image, those managing emotional instability, and navigating relationship issues (peer or romantic). I work closely with you to identify triggers and patterns, and set realistic and collaborative goals for change. Our perspective is that everyone's life has a story, and therapy is a way to identify and change that story to fit with your goals and values. Seeking therapy can be difficult, and we enjoy supporting people in finding their narrative and re-writing it the way they desire to fit their needs. As strength-based and client-centered therapists, we believe that meeting people where they are enables them to feel at ease and supported in the process. Helping others identify their innate strengths and using them is a large part of my philosophy. We are an anti racist practice and pride ourselves on being able to serve BIPOC populations.
